Interview with Lisa Frankenstein Stars, Director, and Writer
Live in Los Angeles
Lisa Frankenstein stars Cole Sprouse and Kathryn Newton, along with director Zelda Williams and screenwriter Diablo Cody, participate in a live interview to talk about the making of the film.
Sprouse discusses training with Lorin to prepare for his role, and talks about a mime technique they used to work on physically expressing emotion called the Attitudes. He explains that the technique comes from Lorin’s own mime teacher, the legendary Marcel Marceau.
Lorin worked with Sprouse to develop special movement for The Creature— a decaying, reanimated corpse. In the process, he used mime techniques to help him physically express his character’s personality, thoughts, and emotions without speaking.
The interview, moderated by Collider’s Perri Nemiroff, took place February 9, 2024 — Lisa Frankenstein‘s opening day — in front of a live audience following a screening of the film at the AMC The Grove 14 theatre in Los Angeles, California.
